Good mini RCR123 options

Which lights would be good mini single cr123 option. the light should be able to run RSR 123 with no issues and cost about $40

Would you like a clickie or twistie light? What beam pattern? Keychain use? runtime? Modes?

The 4sevens Mini is a good 1 CR123 twistie.

I guess it does not matter to me but twisties do seem a bit smaller I was looking at 4secens mini 123 ML in X-PG2 and trunite t21

Given those parameters I would choose a Zebralight SC31w. A little more than $40, but you get what you pay for...

And the zebralight has a side switch, which IMO is easier to use then a twistie.

Double-check me on RCR123 compatibility, please.

Actually, I just ordered the Mini ML for $32.50 shipped off Amazon. I am unsure of its RCR123 compatibility, however. It says "no" on the website, but that may be for warranty purposes. It may work, but voids warranty. I'm not going to try it.

For a hair more (around $45~$50) you could get an Olight S10. XM-L...runs on a rcr123...over 3 hours on the 70 lumen setting...

That Olight looks good

In a mini size, I like the Spark SK3. It has both 123 and RCR support like the Olight (and unlike the Quark Mini). We still hear about loose threads with the Quark Mini, so between that and the lack of official RCR support (and the fact that RCRs have toasted a few lights even though they work in most), I think the Sk3 is an easy winner

Between the Spark and the Olight, the Olight has a brighter but much floodier beam, the Spark has a tighter beam and is a full 1cm shorter.

I basically use the Spark Sk3 as my spare battery carrier, since it's not that much bigger or heavier than the little plastic case I used to carry my spare 123 in. So I have my primary light, the Klarus XT1C, and the Spark SK3, and interchageable batteries.
