I don't know if any of you seen this allready but on page 37 there is a E2e with the KL4 head, a M2 with a KL5 head, M3 with a KL6 head and a 8AX with a KL7 head.

Anyone know when these high power heads will be comming out?

Reading the catalog it says "with more models schedule for release through 2003, including a five-watt Luxeon LED that should, we hope, to produce at least 80 and possibly 100 lumens in a 9-volt powered light"

We already have a couple threads on this, including one just recently.

SureFire do not give expected release dates

Thanks did a search and found it...Question is since it goes certain models like KL4-(5watt) KL5-(5watt) KL6-(6watt) and the KL7-(7 watt)? But the KL4 is a 5watt Luxeon...? Or its just these overdriven 5 watt Luxeon's?

No, they are 5W models

The KL1 is a 1W, but so is the KL3.

The KL4,5,6 & 7 are 5W Luxeons. Whether they are all driven to the same about remains to be seen. However, we are assuming at this stage that larger bezels can be driven harder than the KL4.

I don't know of any 9V model that will fit the KL4. The KL4 is for the 6V E2/E2e which is like half the size of the next size up (6P/G2 etc.) I think the KL5 will fit the bigger 6V/9V lights like the 6P/M2 etc.

The KL4 is designed and intended for the E2e (L4)

The KL5 is designed and intended for the standard body models with two or three SF123As - C2/C3 (etc)

I have a 8nx surefire and I like to see how much lumens and kind of battery that will be used on kl7 head.

I can't wait for the KL7, a rechargeable option instead of these expensive lithium cells would be nice.

gad,
The KL7 will be powered by the B90 NiCad (afaik).

FoxMulder,
SF123As are $1.25 - (£1.60 I think) - That's cheap (imho).

Josh,
It is likely that the KL4 will not be too happy long term if used often

Size15,

(Is that your shoe size or something? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif) I know that SF has lowered the price of their batteries, but that's still $3/hour. I only make $19.71/hour so that kills my wage to $16.71/hour if I use the KL4 40 hours a week...if I run 6 KL4's 40 hours a week I'm broke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif...... I need a second job...is SF hiring?
