Green ultrafire wf-501b

Finally arrived in the mail today from dx.com

It's very different than white o_O i expected that. And its one mode which is nice. It's crazy bright and the beam pattern is fantastic!
Here's some pics.

The reflector has a crackle finish which i really like i wish my other white beam 502s 501s had it installed. I tried inter changing other reflectors but the stock one has the best beam pattern for the green emitted Led. The light was $10 shipped.

I do believe i ordered a blue led light and an ultraviolet. I want a Infrared light but i dont think ultrafire makes them.

I was hoping some folks who are into green lighting...maybe exotic lighting would chime in...or anyone would chime in. I guess green isn't a wanted color.

I dont remember where I see a P60 infrared drop in, fasttech? Buyincoins? Ebay?

About your new light. Nice... I have the red and blue color, I was thinking in buy the bodies in this colors to match the Leds...

Ghost - Nice pick up on that 501. I like using the blue LEDs as it doesn't mess up your night vision in the pitch darkness. Never tried the other colors though.

You can always buy the infrared LED and build your own P60 drop-in.

Thanks. I auctually bought red not blue lol. The red 501 showed up yesterday its super bright and perfect for night walks. I love when people ask where i got it and they think the light is expencive :).

Yea i may build my own uv as it needs to be the right nm length. I know ultrafire makes a uv light for $15 but i dont think it has the right wavelength.

Noob Question, ?
Is there a use for these different colours LED's other than the fun factor? Is there a point to this.
Eg. Dim RED led's are good at preserving your night vision and UV makes some insects glow in the dark.
That said I like them.
