I came across this item while surfing the new shoppe layout. Is this for the Arc flashlights? If yes, is it for the LS series and is it easy to install?
Billson, these were for the "Grey kit" ls lights, unannoed LS kits that were sold by ARC. some of these kits came with the diode already installed on the pcb, but others missed the diode.
If your LS is not a "grey one", you will have no use for it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Errr, this one? which one do you mean? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif
The only upgrade I know of is replacing the sence resistor to increase current.

I believe that waynes grey kit diode is the NRS08 part (I'm not completely sure). But I'm definitely sure that the grey kit diode I have bought from wayne has a lower Vf than the stock diode of the ARC LS (have measured it myself).
The efficiency increase should be around 2..3%, I think it is only worth if you have opened the ARC anyway (to increase the current or to swap the emitter).
