Ok, I cheated and found out what that is, and I really wonder what you look up on the net in your spare time.

I first thought it was a wine bottle 'cork' but now it looks like rtedicular pyreanoic dwosnaen phloemn (rpdp - pronunced arh-pee-darh-pee)

Well, it's certainly an interesting design.
Doug, may I hazard a guess that it is something which is intended to bring light to dark places ? Do I need to get me one ?
It's a LED light, I'm certain sure.
