I have an older coleman 12V handheld spotlight that takes the H1 100W bulb. Could someone give me some direction (web links??) as to where to find a replacement bulb for this? Truly would appreciate it. TIA

A quick Google search reveled lots of automotive suppliers over here in the UK, but assuming you're in the US, Amazon sell Hella branded bulbs for $5.99.

I'm also fairly new here, so I'm not sure whether linking to deals you find on the internet is classed as advertising - which is frowned upon as it (understandably) annoys the suppliers who pay for advertising on this site.

Maybe I should clarify a little more, I googled a lot of H1 automotive bulbs. Wasn't sure if a H1 automotive bulb is the same base and filament as what I have and interchangeable? If so, is there a preference on which ones would give me the most hours of service?

Thanks

Ah, I see what you mean. I have no direct experience of different bulb makes (at least I haven't made any notes on manufacturers/output/lifespan), but any H1 bulb should be compatible. I have a couple of similar ones here and have experimented with 130W H1 bulbs before, but found the runtimes to be too short to be useful.

I remember going mad a few months ago trying to understand lamp bulbs. I then came across this page in wikipedia, which I found helpful.
