Haiku and batteries

So right now I use primaries but how do RCR123s work? what other rechargeables could I use? What is the best way to get the most out of my haiku? Just thought it would be good to know my options.

I have used RCR123s for all three McGizmos (PD-s, Mule Ti-PD and Haiku XP-g) without any ill effects. And its the black top AW's cells.
