The closest I've come to happiness in some time is:

My Mini Dobie/mix dog named Bart!

Also giving blood at the Pasadena Blood Center the day after becoming eligable!

Otherwise life is sort of a grind.

Hello Tom!

Vcal, yes agreed, the UPS & FedeX men are the only people who I don't get the hump with when they wake me up, once when a consignment arrived I shot out with just a towel round me & the door slammed shut behind me leaving me in the freezing cold for an hour while a keyholder sent some keys over - It served as a great oppurtunity to meet the neighbours as they all left for work, some even offered jumpers! The funniest part was having to knock on one of there doors half naked to use their phone.

.......the smell of freshly cut grass in the spring, and burning leaves in the fall.
.......a warm summer night at the drive-in theater.
.......the sound of a baseball being hit by a Louisville Slugger.

Great... who knows, you might have saved someone's life.

My S.O. always donates platelets. Apparently there's an urgent need for those also, but the procedure takes much longer (>2hrs!) so they have a hard time getting anyone to go through it. However it's been helping out with one of their leukemia patients locally who has the same blood type.

A pet who loves you unconditionally, no matter how much money you have, what kind of car you drive, or what you look or smell like!

Happiness will be......

Going home again to the wife and dogs.
Geting down on the rug and playing with my JRT Myla.

Seeing the "Welcome to Iraq" sign receed in my rear view mirror.

Seeing the Junior senator from New York loose badly in the next electon.

Loosing no more troopers in this war.

Never hearing another IED go off in the distance.

Hope all is well.
Jack Crow in Iraq
