I am looking for the most compact, comfortable, secure way to carrry 2 spare RCR123's for my Apex Pro. I want to fit these on the headband itself, not in my pockets. Is there a tube or a mount of some sort that anyone knows of. I use this in the woods alot & duck & get slapped by alot of branches so just tucking them in wont work.
Thanks..Hog

Hog,
I have the apex pro also, sounds like you go on alot of long hikes where you need more than one set of batteries. personally when I need more than a set of batteries I keep them in a plastic case which you can pick up at walmart or any photo store for a couple bucks, I presume that the batteries would be on the outside of the headband (like a film holster on a camera strap), and regardless of which strap you attached the batteries to I would think that there would be a pressure spot which after time could become uncomfortable, and if you do happen to find one or even manufacture one (or several) I would buy one, because aftermarket straps are impossible to find, and one with a place to hold your batteries, great idea! IM me if you find anything.

good luck

hi there,

my suggestion may not fit your criteria, but i have made a CR123 spares carrier out of a PVC pipe, pipe end caps (1 end pop-in, other with threads), epoxy (dough type). almost any batt could have a spares carrier made with this batt carrier pipe concept since there's many diameters available. i have foam sheet on 1 end of the cap to reduce rattle while on the go.

the only flaw is it may not fit onto the headband...
