Hi Guys recently started camping and although the Fenix E05 is my Favorite EDC the E01 is brilliant for camping due to the run time! Just wish the E05 was a two level light. Anyway my question lol does anyone know if you can buy a headband that the light will slot in to rather than buying a new light that I dont need???

Thanks Andy

It's a long shot to find what you're looking for. The e01 doesn't put out much light to begin with, so I doubt it'd be effective as a headlamp.

I recently purchased the Nite-ize Headband and it fits my Arc AAA so it should be perfect for the Fenix.
The headband is very comfortable and was ~$5 from eBay.

+1 Andy. Despite having dedicated headlamps around the house for 2-handed task work, I keep the Nite-Ize in the glove compartment of both family vehicles, along with the lights I keep there. I especially like that it can hold a multitude of lights, within reason based on weight.

All the best,

Ditto the recommendation for the NiteIze headband. I have three, dispersed among various packs and vehicles. They will hold just about any light up to 3/4 inch diameter. Relatively inexpensive even when new (about US$8). They come in several colors, including black, red, forest green, and true blue.

Happy camping...

I would agree, I'm using the NiteIze with a Peak Eiger and a 90° adapter, but it will also fit my AA lights!

By the way Andy, just in case you weren't formally welcomed to CPF, then :welcome:
and have fun!

All the best,
John

I'm not familiar with the NiteIze headband, but I use the NiteCore headband regularly with my E01 or iTP A3. The NiteCore band can hold up to 3 lights, and it costs around $10 on ebay or elsewhere.

One thing you could try is just get some twist ties and a sweat band until you get one

Guys Thanks so much for your help! I’ll have a look at the NiteIze & NiteCore, in the meantime I’ll try the Lynx Arc homemade version : )

mattevt before I went camping id totally agree with you, but I was amazed how bright the E01 is when your eyes have adjusted to the dark. We didn’t even have the moonlight due clouds when we left the tent and went for a night walk to local pub/bar : )
Inside the tent id say it was a little too bright for a small tent. Shame they don’t make mini diffusers lol
