Heat sinking LED arrays

This works pretty well. Maybe I should post some pictures if I can figure out how. These copper PR bases have a many times greater heatsink capability over the standard PR bases.

Yeah, I was hoping that they would heat sink well enough to not even need to use a resistor at the 4.5volts of a 3D Mag-Lite. Have you tried any without a resistor yet?

StuU: That sounds like a great suggestion. I was just thinking of how to go about making a good 3 LED Mag-Lite bulb for my 3D Mag-Lite. I wonder why LEDCORP only makes up to a 2 LED "bulb" when there is, at least, room for 3 LEDs in a PR type bulb base. Oh well, I'm getting used to making all the stuff that I need vs. buying it premade anyway, when it comes to LED flashlights.
