can any one help a dragon in need? A hella (or philips lvq 212) ballast failed on my quad. The ballast is dead, no burned smell, nothing pointing to what caused it's untimely death. It's being used as it was desighned for and is unmodded, has power to it and I tried a diffrent D2S bulb. It's a third generation ballast and is non potted so it seems to be servicable *if* /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif I could find a schematic.
Can any one help Me find a schematic? any info would be helpfull.
thanks

hmmm, that sucks.

this is the reason why i still carry an
incandescent backup. i really like my led and HID lights,
but i don´t really trust them, doesn´t matter if this is
a little arc or my DragonHID, simply way too much
components that can fail.

on a old fashioned lightbulb one can easily see if it
is intact or broken.

Draco, I hope you get Your problems solved!

thanks,
I allmost allways have a back up light as well. My quad has a total of 3 35watt hid lamps so I still had two to drive back with. I just wish that these where easer to service due to the cost of a replacement part. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mecry.gif
