Hi all,
this is my first post so I hope it works, a great forum I have been reading all the resources, very good.
But a question, I have a Surefire M3 millennium on order, I am quite excited and keep wanting to buy accessories before I get it(impatience!). Basically is the KT4 turbo head a good buy for it?

many thanks, Ian /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have just read the post on the M3T and so it does sound like a good buy! Sorry for the wasted post,

thanks, Ian

Welcome to CPF... the Surefire Turboheads extend the range of the lights, making them "throw" the beam a longer distance. If this is what you are looking for, the KT4 is excellent. You can also get the KL2, which is the LED Conversion Head for the M3. It uses 19 5mm LEDs, and produces a flood of light with extended runtime. The light output on the KL2 is less than an incandescent. Hope this helps.

ianb,

Welcome to CPF!

The M3 plus a KT4 makes a M3T.

I like my M3 just the way it is for use as a tactical light.

I like the SW02 tail cap (click on) on the M3T. You might also want to get the N2 lamp. The N2 has a nice round beam and is rated at 105 lumens with a 1 hour runtime, but the N2 is not designed for use in a weapon light(meaning it's not meant to withstand the recoil of large caliber weapons). The MN15 & MN16 have an oval hot spot in the beam. The lamps I prefer in the M3T are the N2 & MN16.

The KL6 is also a worth getting.

I prefer to get the lights complete rather than getting just the heads.

thanks for the welcomes and the advice all!

The turbo head sounds like a good buy and maybe an L6 when the wife isn't looking /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

thanks, Ian
