Gurus of CPF,

I aim to build or have built a custom light for hiking. I'm OK with anything under $500. My goals are (in descending order of importance):

  1. Quality
  2. Lightweight - <3.5 Oz.
  3. Simplicity
  4. High Output - 700+ OTF lm
  5. High Efficiency - >80%

My required specs are:

  1. 1x 18650 Battery
  2. P60 Drop in compatible
  3. Direct drive circuitry
  4. Aluminum head, tail & body
  5. Titanium bezel ring & tailcap shroud
  6. ZeroRez Shorty or comparable switch

So, given my priorities and specifications, what are your recommendations for build components? Thanks in advance CPF!

Good find Dell, the Oveready C2 XML DD is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for!

Except I can't find a tailcap w/ a Ti shroud for it. In fact, Unique Titanium's E series shroud is the only one I've found.

I think I would be happier with a custom build that I put together. I'm thinking:

P60 Drop in - ??
Bezel - OR Cryos Z44
Bezel Ring - OR Titanium Z44
Body - Fivemega 1x 18500
Cap - ??
Switch - Zero Rez Shorty

Can anyone recommend a good DD P60 drop in?
What about Z41 compatable tail caps? I would really like one with a changeable Ti shroud to soak up the mistreatment.
