help, my K2's melting !

Hello all, recently i recieved my Hotlips D heatsink. when i was installing the K2 led on it with some 2 ton epoxy mixed with thermal compound i noticed that the lens on the k2 is soft like Rubber, when i press on it it will deform. is this normal?

I think i read somewhere it is normal but i'm not 100% sure.

It's normal. The K2 has some different kind of (flexible) lens.

Yeah the dome is soft, if dust sticks to it, I bet you could wash it with water or carefully wipe it with a damp cloth, as water will help release the dust stuck to the sticky dome.

The lens is made of silicone and not epoxy that is why it's soft.

It's the same thing with SSC (Seoul Semiconductors).
