Help needed with PayPal

Hi guys!

I've got a problem here... I would like to transfer some money to a CPF member, and I figure the best way would be PayPal.

The problem is my country (Hungary) is not listed on the PayPal registration form. If I give "Austria" as location, I can register. My question to you experienced PayPalers, is: Will I be able to pay with my credit card via the above PayPal account??? Won't the location mismatch be a problem? Anybody tried this before?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Please tell me if something is unclear, I will put it in an other way.

Can you pick which currency to use with your credit card? If you can specify the currency, then you should be able register that nation on PayPal. I would check with PayPal and see if that would work.

I think I can add my CC, but in the "Billing Address", Austria appears. Cannot set it to Hungary. Is that a problem?

Roy, I actually did a nasty trick (ooops /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif), and I managed to register with Hungary as my country!!! Now my billing address is correct, too! I hope it works! Thanks.

If you really dig around PayPal's site, you will eventually find a telephone number for them (I don't think that they're big on human contact, so there's no 800 number).

The offices only operate 4AM to 10PM PST daily. Definately worth giving them a call.

You can also try to ask them via e-mail, much cheaper than a call from Hungary. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
