I have been EDCing my SF E2e for many years. A few months ago I bought a Fenix LOP se and carried that in addition to the e2e. Last month I bought a Fenix L2D CE and today I got my P1D CE. So now I don't know what to do. I don't have room in my pockets for the e2e and the L2D. I haven't left the house in years without the e2e. Should I swap the L2D or the P1D for the e2e? Should I stick with the e2e and LOP combo?
I think I need flashaholics Anonymous! Please help.

Get an A2 and be done with it!

Seriously, I'd say the P1D CE should be fine all by itself. Multiple stages, good runtime, ample brightness and a small form factor. IMO, the L2D CE is too long and narrow. I know the A2 is long, but is more comfortable in the hand. My second choice would be to just stick with the E2E.

just keep them for a while. trade them out day to day and see what you like. then sell what doesn't work for you.

get the kooter tube for the p1dce and a surefire tailcap. thats what i did and it replaced everything

I'd say throw that P1D-CE in your pocket, and your LOP on your keyring for backup. That should be just fine, but don't sell that E2E!! It's a great light, and makes for a good pocketable incan option....

I faced a similar situation. I had the McGizmo XR 19-C, a Miller modded ARC AAA Cree, and a new Jetbeam C-LE. Hmmmmmm what to do?

I endedup putting the AAA on my keyring (with a McGizmo clip), which is in my right pants pocket along with the XR 19-C. I use the XR 19-C the most for walking at night and such, but I feel the AAA is good for closeup tasks, wonderful for reading, and a great backup.

Then, I attatched the Jetbeam C-LE to a small Swiss Army knife with a McGizmo clip and keep that combo in my left pocket with my loose change.

The nice thing about this setup is that when somebody needs to borrow a light...... and they ALWAYS do.... I can loan out the Jetbeam and still have my main light AND a backup. SWEET.

So......for you...... I'd put the LOP SE on your keyring in your right pocket along with your trusty SF E2E, and attatch the Fenix P1D CE to a small knife (with a McGizmo clip) to keep in your left pants pocket with your change.

I'm also considering the Fenix L2D CE, and I would keep that in my inside left verticle jacket pocket, or my briefcase.

Gee, if only all of life's desicions were this much fun.

it's hard to beat the P1D CE for EDC carry these days. I like your problem, it's a great problem to have! What I'd do is carry the latest and greatest and keep the older stuff around the house in case I needed it as backup (say you needed to send in one of your regular EDC's for repair, or lost it - Lord forbid!), that is if you really decide against selling some of the older stuff.

My bare EDC lights are the E2E and the L0P.

Don't swap out the E2E, you'll be sorry. The punch of the E2E cannot be ignored.

I was EDC'ing a P1D-CE on my belt (comes with a great little pouch)for quite awhile and loved it . Then on a whim I bought the L0D-CE, at first I carried both, LOD in shirt pocket and P1D on my belt.

Now I just carry the L0D, its so small, so usable with multi settings, and with 10440 lithiums as bright as the P1Dce, I dont think you can ask for more. I love collecting all brands of flashlights, and all sizes. But for EDC the L0DCE is by far my favorite.

For EDC carry I would recommend:
- incan for outdoor use... (better color, and penetration in rain/fog/snow) = E2E w/ MN03
- led for indoor/close-up use... = P1D CE

Yea I would keep your E2E in your pocket regardless... Then, I think the P1D would be great on the keychain. Finally, for certain purposes you should use the belt pouch to carry your L2D around instead of trying to cram it in your pocket. The great thing about all your lights is no matter wich ones you decide to carry...they will all actually serve you well even if you just had to carry one.

My advice is to rotate. I have far too many tactical folding knives to carry around with me, so I carry one for a couple days then switch out to the next one. I generally do the same with flashlights.
Now I do make decisions upon what I'm likely to be going, where I'll be going for that day. If I"m going to be further away from home I'll bring something with long runtime, going to be around water, something waterproof, etc. I have my favorites that are always with me in my backpack (man-purse/ briefcase) and I have my pocket gear.

I would have to agree. Personally I like an incan for throw and lots of overall output. But the P1D-CE would be GREAT for anywhere from 25-90% of your tasks (depending how you use your lights, of course), has multiple modes, and MUCH longer battery life. If you can swing it...why not carry both? if you end up using the P1D-CE most often, the E2E can be a back-up/outdoor/thrower light, and also makes a great spare batt carrier for the P1. (Two is one...) ;)

Good luck!!

EDC both the SureFire E2e and the Fenix P1D CE. . .Personally I EDC both single battery celled lights on my person, the SureFire E1e and the 3[M]iniMag. These two are suited for my particular needs. Of course Your Methods May Vary accordingly.

Enjoy!

I know its a little off topic but what is a tactical folding knife, i understand the folding part its the tactical part i don't understand.

As for an EDC, i don't carry one, but if i was too it would be the best output per size i could find. I hate having heaps of things in my pockets.
