Sold/Expired Help with first mod

I'm sure someone here could help me along here...



I'm looking to put an XM-L into a Jetbeam RRT-1.



My RRT-1 has been modded by the previous owner, so getting to the led is no problem, and i have some basic soldering skills.



I read in a thread somewhere that i need a led on a 15mm star, is this the right size? here it says see picture for size, but :shrug:



Or is there something else that will work better?



I'm just looking for a nice neutral tint with a ton of light.



And when i find my led...just some arctic silver (radio shack?) underneath and solder right?
