Finally the price for 123`s came down but it seems that they are only accessible for people in the US ( Surefire does not ship to Canada). So here is my question would there be a CPF` er that could order me say 6 dozen or so and ship them to Canada for me. I would certainly reward his efforts in return for an honest deal.Thanks for any help in keeping my babies fed.

Thanks

Red Oak,

Why do think SureFire doesn't ship to Canada ?

I live in Ottawa and just received a shipment directly from them this week(E2E+KL1+ 72 batteries).

If you are referring to the note on SureFire's website about not accepting international orders, that is just for INTERNET orders. You can still call them by phone and order.

The cost to ship to Canada is a flat rate of $36 USD by DHL. And I don't know if DHL bills you later but I never got charged PST+GST...

Six boxes of batteries is a great deal. I figure the final cost came to $2.81 CDN each.

The local drugstore wants $15 each !

Hope that helps.

FM;
i spoke with them on wednesday and they told me no go. I also e-mailed the VP of sales and his reply was the same in order to protect 911 and Nichollsand their respective market.
But i will try them again on monday i might have talked to a lemon there.

I ordered last monday so maybe I just slipped in before that decision was made.

That would be a foolish move by SureFire. "We lowered our prices but we won't sell to you directly because our distributors are complaining that they won't be able to overcharge you."

Did you check with those distributors you mentioned ? What are they asking for a box of Surefire batteries ?

Let us know what happens.

FM;
none of the Canadians carry the Sf123`s right now but they think it will be about 70 bucks + a dozen.

Same with sales to Australia.

I would love to get some SF123s - Anyone interested in helping out ?

I would be interested in 2 Doz.

I would pay via PayPal.

Thanks,

Abe.

I don't know much about the different brands of 123 batteries but are the Surefire batteries better than other brands like Duracell? Do they work better in Surefire lights than Duracells, Rayovac, etc? Higher capacity?

Sorry if my questions are ignorant

I believe that the general opinion here is that SureFire batts give light for longer over all and spend more of this time making the light look whiter.
However, untill recently they have been more expensive and if you could get 2 cheaper batts for the price of 1 SureFire...then it was a matter of preference as to whether you minded changing the cheaper batts more frequently.

no question, surefires are better than duracells. i currently have duracells in my E2e, and the light output is a bit yellow after only half hour runtime.
