The Lenser X21 seems expensive to me. I think there are better options in that price range if you need more output, although the TK40 looks like an excellent all around product.

i remember taking the tk40 and the x21 on a night scavenger hunt in the woods last summer and using the x21 most of the time. i will try to remember to compare them tonight to refresh my memory.
