Hey, Are the Panasonic 3400 the highest capacity on the market right now? Any ideas when the 4000's might be out? Thanks

at this present moment of typing the panny 3400 still rules the roost .

Hello Alex21,

Since there is no smoke or fire, I will move this into the general batteries section.

I am new. Recently purchased a Cree/Ultrafire which did not come with battery. Then found on E-bay a charger with two Ultra Fire batteries. The battery is black. It states BRC 18650 4000mAh 3.7V li-ion. What brought me to this forum was a search for "18650." It brought me to a thread about counterfeit Ultra Fire batteries. I did not pay alot for the batteries and charger. Am I facing any dangers.

You may or may not be in danger depending from where the batteries came (the problem is they come from so many different sources when it comes to that brand). Get yourself some good batteries and forget about these is what my recommendation would be.

Your risk increases dramatically if you are using both the batteries together.
Bin them and get some proper ones.

DONT be cheap when it comes to batteries or chargers. I have top notch batteries and chargers and never leave then alone while charging. I even set the timer on the oven when they should be done so I wont forget them.
