I am looking for a rifle mounted light (AR-15) that will be used mainly for hog hunting. This rifle is also my go-to for anything that goes bump-in-the-night in and around my home and surrounding property (mostly rural).
I would like something that can throw out to 200-250 yards, but still has a little spill (doesn't need a ton). If the light is nearly ALL throw (like the ArmyTek) it would be nice if I could add a diffuser for the rare occasion the light may be needed indoors (SureFire FM14 or something similar).
I don't need a strobe or any other "vegas" modes. Don't need ton of settings. I would like a "max" primary mode and "medium/low" secondary mode for navigating the house or wooded areas.
I have considered the ArmyTek Predator V2, Thrunite Scorpion V2 w/Turbo head, and the TN11S. I also looked at the Klarus XT11 but fear it won't have the throw I'd like.
What else am I missing? Pros/cons with the lights I'm looking at and/or other's I should be considering? Am I being unrealistic with any of my goals?
