I may start a flame (I hope not) but Daschle is ridiculous and it makes me sick. Here I go!
Is "Daschle" a French name or just a 4 letter word? If I thought he was speaking from the heart and not just from the left I wouldn't have a problem with his words. If you look at his record on Iraq it shows he's about as principled as a crack addict. Daschle will say anything and support anything left of center regardless of the issue even if it's negative to the welfare of this country and our troops. I think I understand the basics of playing politics and both Republicans and Democrats are masters at "spin" but Daschle and a few others take it to a sick new level. In 96 the esteemed Mr. Daschle was all about stopping Iraq from rebuilding its WMD, he said we must act now. He said the same thing in 98 and used very strong language. He never asked for diplomacy, never asked for another UN resolution, Mr. Dashle was a real "hawk" under Clinton. Which is it Mr. Daschle, Saddam must be stopped immediately, there is no time to waste, I am not interested in going to the U.N. (1994-1999) or diplomacy is the answer, we need the U.N. and the President has not made the case that Saddam has WMD (2000-2003). Mr. Daschle, lives are at stake, you have NO creditability on the issue, stop playing politics with it, this is too important. Flip-flop on something else not quite so dangerous, your country needs you.
