i was over there in , you know , the FORUM, and read about space shuttle tiles, thermal conductivity , heating them up and touching them and not getting burnt. cool. interesting.

is this how people walk on HOT COALS. although the coals are hot the wood/charcoal is a poor thermal conductor so no burning. please someone confirm this otherwise ill have to trawl Le Bay looking for old shuttle tiles to try.

I can fairly easily hold hot coals in my hand out of a campfire! It is the ash that insulates you from the actual burning part of the coal. So basically I guess the answer is yes haha!
