When i saw AWs sales thread with batteries, i noticed that a change in diameter of only 1mm already yielded quite a lot of capacity increase.
Now i also noticed that my Pila GL2 has an inner diameter of 19mm (19.07), so even cells with 18.5mm would still fit perfectly. If this was similar for many other flashlights that can run on 2 RCR123s, then wouldnt it be possible to make a "thicker" RCR123, perhaps an "18340", 18 in diameter? This should bring some more capacity, maybe even approach an actual capacity of 1000mAh, unlike the current ~650mAh. It would also allow the cells to deliver more current, which may be good for some of you who use those with more than 1C discharge.
Would be nice if you could add what inner diameter your lights have, maybe we can find enough people who would buy the cells
