Many of you know how to do this, but how can you tell what type of LED is on a particular light? How do I know, for example, if the Energizer 3 watt light I just picked up at target is a Luxeon, Cree, Seoul, Rebel, etc? Is there a visual chart here somewhere that shows closeup shots of various types of LEDs? Any help would be appreciated!

Most of the pictures are also up on sites that sell the light.

It should be possible the tell the different models apart but telling the bins apart would be hard and require special tools.

Luxeon I/III
Luxeon V
Luxeon K2(new TFFC K2, has a 4x4 grid of "holes")
Cree XR-E silver, phosphor(same performance)
Seoul P4
Seoul P7
Luxeon Rebel(has a 4x4 grid of "holes" like the TFFC K2, much smaller then the other LEDs, pic compared with a Luxeon V star)

From what I know, the star is standard sized for all of the above LEDs, so you can compare the Rebel's size that way. Around 4 can fit on a Cree XR-E bare LED.
