I have a new and longer clip for my E2D coming from Surefire. But I don't know how to change the darn thing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif Instructions anyone?

How do I change pocket clips on E2D ?

1. remove the bezel and lamp assembly and set it aside, then remove the O-ring (do not use a sharp object or you might put gouges into the O-ring groove or cut the O-ring itself).
2. slide a piece of card or paper under the clip, to prevent the clip from scratching the light when the clip is being removed.
3. use the tip of a flat-bladed screw driver inserted into the bend of the clip to push the clip down and out, whilst supporting the top of the battery tube against a flat and stable surface (i.e. a table).
4. watch out for a small black plastic widget that should come out with the clip, and save that (it supports the O-ring by preventing it from squeezing out into the gap under the clip).
5. install the long clip by slotting it into the groove. before you do that, you might want to use a pair of pliers (and some rags to protect the finish of the clip) to bend the clip at its bend in order to increase the tension provided by the longer clip. if you have difficulty reinstalling the clip due to the bending, you can use the flat-bladed screwdriver to push down the bit of the clip that slots into to the groove whilst pushing it in.
6. push in the plastic widget into the gap under the clip, the top of the "T" nearer the O-ring groove. reinstall the O-ring and bezel /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

When removing the clip, I prefer to use a piece of string rather than a screwdriver, seems less likely to scratch the finish.
leukos is right...i was just doing this to one of my surefires today, and a lanyard i found lying around worked much better, though you'd have to watch where the clip flies to or you might risk loosing it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
