I'm embarassed to say that because I've only recently become interested in mods (receiving rather than doing) I'm not sure how to order Lamda's marvelous creation.

Any help will be much appreciated.

They aren't available right now. He builds them by hand, and is taking a well deserved break right now. But watch this page, and when they are available, it will be indicated here: Lambda Illuminator

Yes, I have to let my finger tips grow back from all the filing and fitting.

Seriously, in a few weeks I'll have some Illuminators to sell, but I'm no longer taking pre-orders. The next ones will be ready to ship at sale.

Can I suggest that you only sell 1 per person for now and give us guys that don't have one a better chance on getting one? (And that's tough for me to ask because I want three!!!)

I put in my email request as well. Hopefully us mod newbies will have first crack but of course it's up to Mr. lambda to do as he sees fit.

If you haven't checked lately, Peter Gransee wrote an interesting post on his view of the over driving of the LS LEDs. It's in the Arc LS section. In a nutshell he said that over driving it could not only shorten it's life but increase the chances of it dying rather suddenly. It's an interesting post and well written as are all of Peter's comments.

I still want a Lambda illuminator though. I just won't take it hiking up Mount Everest with me.

sflate,

Lambda has been selling them with a one-per-person qualifier already... I don't know if he plans to continue.

geepondy,

Do you have a link to the article by Gransee? I cant seem to find it on the Arc forum, but I'm guessing it's buried in the 450+ messages in the Arc LS thread...

I might just add the Illuminator endurance test prototype has now successfully burned through 68 sets of batteries without any problems.......

Thanks - at least I know I have a chance of getting my hands on one of these gems. Of course I'm sure my opinion on one per customer will change if I get one!!
