How do i put on the lanyard?

Elementary question. Where do i put the lanyard on this Jetbeam (even though it already has a pocket clip)? And how do i use the strap.
Which of the three spots do i attach the lanyard?
Do i use the ring or just the clip?
Do i have to lose the ability to end stand if i use the lanyard?
What's the little metal ring on the lanyard next to the black fastener used for?

You shouldn't, but I can't say that for sure. You aught to be able to get the split ring or clip through two adjacent slots, so it sticks out sideways, and clip on to that, maintaining the ability to tail stand, but I can't say for sure because it may get in the way of the switch. You could also attach it to the pocket clip, to keep tail standing.

Looks cosmetic, to me.

Personally, I would make a lanyard of paracord sheath, or get a cell phone lanyard, preferably GITD...which, BTW I have never seen used for cell phones, beyond promotional pictures, but that's what they call them.

+1 on the paracord... I would be afraid of the split ring or metal hardware tearing the backend of your light as well... I wish I had never attached the split ring to my old Quark Mini 123. It tore the ano off something good within a few weeks. Paracord is soft...
