Do the Streamlight Twin Task series lights have a switch you can squeeze before it actually clicks on (like the type on a C or D m*g) for signaling and such or is it click on and off or to the next mode only? I'm interested in a 3C and possibly the 2L model but I'm really hoping they have a switch that works that allows you to use it momentarily without clicking it on. John

Im sure they are all the same, but I have the 3C and the light actually comes on after the button has been released. So it is not a momentary on. im not even sure that it can perform a momenatary off(light is on, pressing lightly without clicking to flash it).

by the way, im about to post some(7) of my lights in the B/S/T forum and my black 3c is one of them in case your interested. But im actually trying to sell them all as one package.($60)

You can blink ALL three modes on a 3C! Turn on whatever mode you want and then gently push the switch and the light will go out while you hold the switch in the partial position...let off the switch and the light comes back on.

Hope this helps.

Just got my Twin-task 3C yesterday. I'm not exactly thrilled with it. Maybe I'm spoiled by Surefire's lights and other supercharged high output, tiny sized lights. The light is too big for a 3-c cell flashlight. The 6 led mode's output is about the same as my E1e/KL1 setup. This light is heavy, beefy thick, I guess if you want a light that could beat the crap out of someone and still work..this is your perfect light, not my idea though. I'll mess around with this one for a while, then give it to my folks. Or maybe as a loaner for neighbors who's plastic $2 flashlights are broken.

FYI....here are the runtimes to 50% brightness for the TT-3C:

3 LED = 33.5 hours
6 LED = 18 hours
Xenon = 2.25 hours

Great light to keep in the house!

Double A,

It seems to me that anything with 3C in it is going to be "too big". But that depends on what you want it for.

I got it to be by my bed, or in my truck and I think it feels just super!

My only gripe would be needing to cycle through the modes... meaning if I want a bright light first I better pick up something else.

But I still believe that for the price, there ain't nothing better out there!

Let's keep it it nice around here eh?
