im wondering how much spare batteries people cary around as EDC and how many spare bats do you guys have at home? ive seen people that have 100 cr123's lying around and that have an ton of AA's somewhere in an draw

At home: Lost count after 200. Assortment of CR123, CR2, AA, AAA, C, D, 9v, button cells, Ni-Mh, Lithium, Alkaline, Heavy Duty, etc.

I rarely EDC batteries. I keep half a dozen in the car though.

on me: 2xcr123A...not much there:thumbsdow

on the car:
spare 4xCR123A in an SC3 to support the A2 in the central console
spare 9 Eneloop + 9AA-3D Mdocod adapter to support the Mag85 on the driver side door

too many to count in the house:ohgeez:

I dont carry spare batteries, i prefer carrying a spare light. I dont have much spares at home either because i keep my batteries charged. I think recharging batteries is kind of fun (am i wierd?).

I currently don't carry any spares on me.

I have a couple of batteries in the house :D

Rechargeables (spares + installed)

NiMh LSD (AA & AAA)
Eneloops: 46
Rayovac Hybrids: 32
Titanium Enduro: 24

NiMh non-LSD (AA & AAA)
Rayovac: 18

Primary Cells
AA: 42 spares + 14 in devices
AAA: 31 spares + 4 in devices
D: 2 spares + 6 in devices
9V: 5 spares + 5 in devices
CR123A: 5 spares + 3 in devices
CR2016: 4 spares + 4 in devices

Will be adding 8 AA Lithiums to this inventory in the next few days.

I don't carry any batteries on me (office job), at home I have 10 to 20 CR123 Primaries for my EDC, in each car there are 2 CR123, in the office there are 2 CR123 (all Battery Station), and a few Lithium AA and AAA.

Over 100 primaries (mostly CR123's)
Over 20 rechargeables (Li-on and Nimh)
Don't usually EDC a spare cell since I always have more than one light on me and I bring a few or more spare cells depending on where I am going.

I have enough that I chuckle at all the people buying those shake and crank lights.

+1 by far, i was at target the other day and they had maybe 50 AAA 6 pax on sale for <$1 i bought them all, and a bunch of AAs and 123 Lithiums too

I always have at least a 20 pak of SureFire Cr123's for vehicle lights. Most of my Surefires are bored to accept 18650's, so about 45 of those laying around...plus just a few additional primaries :)

Dude just ran all upstairs, downstairs and in the shed and under the couch cushions to count up all his cells. Sick, man, just sick!

Not quite...but close.

Spreadsheet + spare batteries in a Plano storage container + knowing where all the batteries are deployed.

Sick, man, just sick!
It's one of the side effects of being a flashaholic....battery OCD :D

Now if only my life was as well organized as my batteries ;)

Added 12 L91 AA Lithiums to the stockpile today.

I have way more batteries than Hurricane Ike's power outage could make me use. I need more hurricanes and power outages!!!

Not too many, but not too little either. Let's see...
R LiIon:
7 18650s (6 AW 1 Pila/Wolf Eyes)
4 RCR123s (2 BS 2 AW, one AW not useable)
6 14500s (4 are LiFeP04)
2 AW C LiIons (one seems to have crapped out)
1 KD Protected D

R NiMh:
14 LSD AAA NiMh (6 Ray-O-Vac, 8 Eneloop)
24 LSD AA NiMh (eneloops)
20 High Current AA NiMh (Titanium 1800)
14 NiMh D (4 Tenergy, 10 Chinese nameless recovered from a batt pack)
plus a few 5+ year old Ray-O-Vac AAs that still function relatively well in odd devices like my toothbrush

R Alkaline:
14 decently performing Ray-O-Vac Alkaline rechargeables (from back in the day).

Primaries:
5 CR2
20 CR123
16 Energizer L91
+ a few left over Alkalines in C, D, AA and AAA... not worth much except in an emergency. Need to stock up on more L91s.

So (almost) enough, but not an overwhelming collection yet.
Looking for a nice high capacity but portable SLA with 12V plug and inverter still. Need to get some LSD C and Ds. Hoping for some IMR D's soon. :grin2:
