how many of you play with your lights still?

i feel silly im 50 and like a kid i play with my lights daily there is park in my back yard i go and play with them nightly /even in the rain i play with my light indoors my room i sleep in is so dark i cant tell if its day time out its like a cave. so am i the only one? i cant afford to go to movies or concerts so my lights bring me joy

When I was growing up, me and my family were so poor that we went to Kentucky Fried Chicken and licked other peoples' fingers.

I use the green Manker MC13 to play with my cats, but I also carry it sometimes to entertain myself. It's like a LEP.

What? I don't play with my lights....... I "test" them to see how well they work and decide I need to use them to check things out around the place and I take walks at night making sure that it is dark enough to need a light.

Yeah but if too often and if they are too bright, you could go blind.

I look for reasons to "play" with my lights. If I have to go into the garage I won't turn the lights on I use my flashlight. Gotta look into the back of the pantry? I will use my flashlight instead of turning the kitchen lights up. Go into the closet to get a sweatshirt. Yep use the flashlight instead of turning the hall light on. Any excuse to use a flashlight and I am all over it.

I carry one everyday, but I'm not really fiddling with them too much.

While I have a few dozen 'decent' lights, they're now more a tool for me.

There's a concrete storm drain basin called a "Wash" near my home. It is a straight shot distance of 0.42 mile with a structure at its far end from where I could stand. When the building's security area light is on, it is practically impossible to tell if my flashlight beam has reached it. However, before it turns on, during twilight, twice now I have confirmed that my LEP super throwers have lit the building, and quite well at that! Not bad for single cell easy-carry flashlight.

Here is a daytime shot so you know what I'm talking about and how far that 0.42 mile is.

Great fun playing this distance with super throwers!

There is nothing wrong with that, they were bought to be used.
And maybe with a little luck in 2022 we will have many power outages

Somewhere in the San Fernando Valley?

We have a 'ditch' in our backyard, in Tarzana, that would become a raging torrent and swept a neighbor lady down about 12 houses, before she was rescued.

Eventually an 8' runoff pipe went in down the middle of the street and things improved. This was back in the mid 60s.
