Woot is selling a power adaptor that uses two AA batteries to charge your USB devices. The charger is rated at 5w, which means a 1 amp output, and about either a 2 amp draw from the batteries. How will your standard alkaline or NiMH respond to such a draw? I really can't see two AA batteries doing much to totally recharge a cell phone, but maybe enough to get by until one gets back to a real charger. Any experience, ideas or knowledge out there?
