YES, me too. Walk throughs are the best thing about this place. A picture wouldn't hurt either. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Here is the Downboy Rev 2 board picture from Wayne's site.

You can find two small black chips near the center of the board (a little off the center to lower left). The chips are marked ".18" and ".12". You may need to turn the picture upside down to see them correctly /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Anyway, these are sense resistors. To make DB1000, you need to replace both of these with 0.1 ohm resistors. You can buy these resistors - .10 ohms 0603 1% Resistor - from Wayne's shoppe.

roguesw,
The resistors are actually a lot smaller that they look in the picture. It really helps to have two soldering irons with the appropriate tips and an eye loop or magnifying googles to do the resistor swap.

Oh, don't do the resistor swap in a room with carpeting. If you drop a resistor in the carpet, you'll never find it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

man, after examining this in detail, and considering the soldering iron i have, even though its temp controlled, the tip is way bigger than the individual resistor, i think i might just pass and ask wayne to make one up for me
cheers guys for the help
