Hi all HID fans!!! I was just outside with my Havis-Shields HID light and it touched the clouds!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I was projecting images onto them......it was freaking awsome!!! I didn't actually think it would make it since the cieling seems normal tonight, but it's undeniable! There was someone with me and they couldn't believe it. I love HID!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif

I'd like to take pictures Vortex, but I won't be at home for a while so I can't get a camera to use. I'll see what I can do when I get home.

Projecting images, hmm... it would be funny to project the Batman logo onto the clouds /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif

Well, I don't have a bat symbol /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The only way I got the images to actually appear on the clouds was to put them very far away from the light itself. I was putting stuff in the top of a scafolding (SP??) and then beaming it. Worked surprisingly well /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

thats because reflectors converge the beam at a certain distance. Too close and it won't block the light. Got to get far enough past the donut hole and then some.
