Just picked up the Husky 2.25 million candlepower 12 cordless/corded spotlight at Home Depot today. $24.95 I think.

Amazing how bright this thing is. Runs off of sealed lead acid batts and can also be used/charged when connected via the 12V cord. Also comes with an AC adapter for charging.
Has a small secondary light in the handle.

They claim it's weatherproof, so this Husky will find a new home aboard my sailboat.

The guy whos house we are working on has two of them, he likes them but thats all I could get out of him. This guy buys two of everything....kinda strange. @ 25$ it seems like a good deal. Anyone know if the bulb can be switched with a better one?

I saw these at HD the other day and they certainly piqued my interest. 2million CP for 25 bucks is pretty good (if its anywhere close to that), but the light seemed very unweildy. It looked like your wrist would get tired very quickly with that heavy of a light. All the weight is up top versus a cordless drill that has the weight balanced out on the bottom. On a good note, the secondary light looked perfect for a luxeon conversion.

More comments on this light please.

I've got a few things to say about the Husky. I don't like it. I first bought one a couple of years ago from Home Depot and after the initial charge it worked good. I put it in my car and didn't use it use it again for while. When I did, I noticed that the battery was completely dead and when I went to recharge the thing I noticed that it wouldn't hold a charge (I had it plugged in for hours but no light). I exchanged it for a new one and the exact same thing happened. That is, it worked fine after the initial charge but later the battery would die and never work again. I'm now on my 3rd Husky 2.25 only because Home Depot didn't have any other brands to exchange it for. It's still in the plastic and I'm debating on what I'm going to do with the thing.

Anyone else seen this?
