I would go with the LD41. It's a more versatile light. It has a higher high and a lower low and more overall modes...

As long as its AA if it can. Take 14500's that would be a plus to...

Yes. I have one. It packs a punch. Decent spill with lots of throw. Some dont like that it does not have a true low. Not a big deal to me, since I usually have a SC52 in pocket.

Just put it in lockout. Problem solved. That or loosen the tailcap a bit.
