some of you might like my upgrade some of you may not. i ordered a cryos cooling bezel , a crenulated strike bezel , and a ultra clear glass lens for my surefire g2 flashlight . it already has a 460 lumen led drop in waiting to go in , i plan on using rcr 123a batteries with this set up . that was just a cree xml drop in i ordered from battery junction . i eventually would love to get a triple or quad p60 drop in that will be 1000 plus lumens .

With that much of power, it's a good thing you're using the Cryos bezel. Every bit of that '40% extra surface area' in the Cryos bezel will be needed since most of your flashlight is made of nitrolon.

Get a metal body if you are planning to use a high-powered drop-in.

Batteries produce waste heat during use. The more current the drop-in draws from the cells, the more waste heat the batteries will be producing. The Cryos bezel will help dissipate heat generated by the drop-in, but the heat generated from the batteries won't be dissipated efficiently if you keep them in the polymer body of your G2.

Oveready sells bored P, Z, and C bodies. Grab them fast, though, since Surefire no longer makes them.

You will also want to upgrade your tailswitch. Stock Surefire tailswitches can sustain up to 2.5A of current, if I remember correctly. High-powered drop-ins can draw a lot of current, from anywhere between 3 to 5+ amps, so stock tailswitch will not be sufficient. McClicky is able to handle up to 5A, so that should also be on your shopping list.

i also can use my b65's with the original host with the surefire nitrolon extender . i would like to get the an 14 extender i believe that would help cool the light better then the nitrolon one , if that is the aluminum one .

i made a mistake the extender i have is the an14 nitrolon 1 will the a14 aluminum 1 fit my g2 to help with cooling

yes i plan on moving everything over to a bored out c2 body with a triad tailcap both hard anodized. then i will be able to use my rcr123a's as well as my 18650's .
i also can use my b65's with the original host with the surefire nitrolon extender . i would like to get the an 14 extender i believe that would help cool the light better then the nitrolon one , if that is the aluminum one .

as opposed to a bored c2 or 6p body would a solarforce l2 or l2p make a decent host for this set up
