I have a 120watt co2 laser tube mounted on a stainless table that has a 24" x 48" work surface that is CNC controlled via PC. This unit will cut abs and acrylic up to 1" thick and does a fine job on wood. The machine has 2 modes, 1 vector ( linear cut ), and rastor ( dot matrix engrave ) and is loads of fun to use. I made this machine 6 years ago from a kit that I have upgraded several times, ( more power , improved air delivery , refer chiller ect ect ), to be able to increase the productivity of the machine. My next upgrade will be to increase the size of my beam turning optics from 1" to 2" and my focus lens from 3/4" to 1 1/4" so I can add a 2.5x beam expander with a columnater so the beam will hit a higher percentage of the focusing optic thus increasing the spot power at focus. If anyone has need of precision cut goodies I might be able to help. Like I said ......I got a laser !
