I got my Lummi Wee and I am disappointed

The fit and finish on the wee is very nice and you can feel the quality of its build.

The only thing that I am not happy about is that the beam has a purple tint! Its not even close to being a "slight" tint its definetly purple!

I own several flashlights that use the CREE X-RE Q5 LED and none of them have this weird tint. Most of my lights have a creamy white color.

I emailed Rob about it but no reply..

The Wee I bought for my wife last month has a tint that tends to blue but not too much. She finds the tint 'cute'.

Are you sure your new torch is using a Cree and not a Nichia LED, I know as a fact some Nichia's do have a slight purple tint in their colour.

How can I tell if it is a Nichia LED? It looks exactly the same on my P3d Q5-Premium LED.

Well is the word Cree written on it or in the manual etc, what makes you think its a CREE ?

It's definitely a CREE. All the lights Rob currently produces use CREEs I think.

I got the Raw and I love it, and would still love it despite any tint variations it may have. If it really does bother you that much, try contacting Rob again. I highly doubt that he would leave you high and dry.

I am not ignoring your emails, I just have not received an email from you about this.?
The whole Tint business is very subjective & one minute the cooler colours are popular & the next the warmer colours are preferred. I can tell for sure at the moment the warmer cree's are IN. A Few years back It used to be disappointing to some when they would receive the UG (Urine Green) Luxeon's, Now however it seems they would be desired...... :thinking:
