I have heard about Cold Heat, through CPF. IIRC, some CPF members ordered them, but they were all backordered. To the best of my knowledge, the CPFers haven't received them yet.

I bought two, two weeks ago. One was for myself and the other was a gift. I tried it when I received it to make sure that it worked, but haven't used it since. The gift has been used and enjoyed.

I bought them based on couple of comments from other CPFers who had them. They won't do everything, but they certainly have a place. They come with the medium tip and I got the smaller tips, too.

You need to be careful working on components. It works by using what you're soldering to complete the electrical path.
