I had sf e2d for about 2 years or so and it was perfect for a medic. Powerful for sweeps and scene size up, strong and the lower power was awesome for pupils exam. I've lost it while working up a triple shooting few days back and want to replace it (http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...-over-flashlight-patent&p=3649471#post3649471). I know that mine was the older model with I think 120 lumens of power on the strong setting. So what's out there now? I'm temporary using a Fenix f10 (??) which doesn't have much of the low output and tail switch sticks out so I turn it on accidentally when squeezing thru tight quarters or sitting down. My reqs for new light are:
- dual output (as long as it's over 120 lumens I'm good but on the low side it has to be no more than 15)
- secure tail switch (not fenix)
- weather proof
- duarbility (i've smashed few things with that light and put few things in control and used it as a door wedge, pry bar, finger splint, tq stick)
- ease of power changes (e2d was perfect, gladius for example sucked)
- around $100 ish (I'm know there is knew e2d with 200 lumens but it runs about $180)
If I can't find anything new and good than will probably go hunting for old version of my e2d. How ironic is that I've s\lost my flashlight on the scene of the murder for flashlight patent?
