I found this little gem yesterday at Harbor Freight. It was $2.99, may have been $1.99 I forget, anyways, it puts out maybe 5 or more lumens and is pretty lightweight on the ear, after a minute or so I barely notice it there.
It's somewhat adjustable so you can secure it pretty well as long as you're not jogging or jumping around or such. The head pivots up and down slightly and I've had no problem getting it adjusted to where I want the spot to be.
It has worked great this morning for my ritual of making a pot of coffee, restroom, logging on to the computer/ typing, anything I normally use my EDC for so far.
I haven't had it apart yet to see the if the batteries are LR41 or 44s yet.
On the downside, it's green, it's clearly stated on the package but I missed it, still it does the job for me. I don't know if there are other tints or not. Another thing, there's a bit of reflection on the bottom of my glasses, not really annoying for me, but it's there.
They also have another larger light for sale, running 2x2032 for $8.99. I'll pick one up next time I'm there.

Just thought I'd share this, I didn't see any info here on these and thought some others may find it as useful as I am.

That's an interesting idea. I doubt I'd use one much, but I'm wandering if it'd be more convenient than a headlamp for reading in bed...

I would say more convenient and comfortable, for the price worth a shot, ( if you have them available where you're at).

My guess of 5 lumen was pretty close, I just compared it to my Q Mini on low (2.7 rated) and it seem a touch brighter, hard to tell exactly comparing the green to white.
Quite a bit larger hotspot than the Mini too, about 6.5" at 12".
