you could try replacing the aspheric optic with a glass lens. If the transmission loss of the glass is less than that of the plastic fish-eye, you could gain some Lumens. Nichia emitters are pretty floody by themselves. The aspheric "moon-beam" lights I own waste a GOOD portion of side-emitted light inside the head. The light that emits from the optic are only those light waves that are emitted onto it from the emitter. If you could find a way to re-direct those side-emitted light waves forward that (combined with a more efficient lens) would help brighten things further.
