I\'m on my way....

Well I guess it's started.I just picked up my Innova X5T

.and now I want more.I already have a CMG Ultra, an L1 a couple of Sapphire lights a bunch of cheapy led lights and a bunch more of incandescents (Mighty-Lites U.K.'s, Techna's and M*g's)Now I want something REALLY GOOD, LS maybe...gosh the choices are endless. Is this how it starts? Ya' get one then you want another etc. By the way Since I,m new at this.. I can't imagine anything too much brighter than my X5, this thing hurts to look at it. I think I,m hooked. Do I need help?

Yep you need therapy and I've got just the thing! You should get your hands on a Mr. Bulk LGI or perhaps an Elektrolumens torch...but easier and probably faster to get would be one of dat2zips BadBoy drop in modules. I put a BB400 in a Brinkmann Legend and absolutely love it!

This is the only way to "treat" your symptoms!

I'm still in therapy...have no idea if anyone has ever recovered!

The X5 is probably my dimmest flashlight. You are in for a big surprise. There are some much brighter custom-made LEDs out there.

Second the reccommendation for a BadBoy dropped into one of your many Mags (in the case of the BB pills, into a MiniMag)

Make sure you get the McFlood optics too.

Look for the BadBoy/MadMax thread in homemade/modified.

Dreck, it all starts with not being satisfied with garbage flashlights (quality wise). It is all downhill from there. All CPF does, is grease the already steep slope.

I just got a Petzl MegaBelt (no longer made) and I'm already thinking about another headlamp.

I started off with a Pelican L1 and it was pretty bright (now in dumpster) then I spotted the Streamlight Batonlite and it was brighter. This led to sniffing around on the internet for LED flashlights. The LED Museum showed me many lights with some interesting mods.
The LED Museum was my gateway drug to the CPF and BB500's and Mini-LGI flashlights.

To fill the spectrum, I will go with a big 6C cell NiMH powered 4D with a 5 watt Luxeon for max brightness. To counter that an Arc AAA for the keychain. Then again, the Micropuck is coming out that will drive a LS with one cell. Infinity bored out to hold a LS with micropuck to drive it. That would be a nasty little light!
Once you start looking around at the CPF just remember, a lighter wallet means you can weigh your pockets down with flashlights.

I just got a LGI from Mr. Bulk, and for $55 shipped, it is honestly the brightest Luxeon I have seen. It blows my BadBoy 400 and ARC LS1r2 away. I would recommend it over the other two.

For an Incan, the best, brightest damn light for the money is the PT Surge. Hands down it rocks the house for $25!
