Wow. It measures just about everything. I note that the highest light meter scale is 2000 lux. That's not much and would require backing away to get readings for some lights, such as SF E2e, SF A2, Space Needle II.
If the light meter function is important to you, you may want to investigate something like the LM631. There are a number of CPF posts. Just search on "LM631" for the past year.

same basic functions as the ruby one, but a bit cheaper. I have one of these and use it as a "beater" meter when I don't have my Fluke with me....seems to work ok, not as stable as the Fluke, but you get what you pay for....

The LM-1 looks to be good from their write-up. The reason I bought the LM631 was because it's the one most owned by CPF people, as far as I can tell. I posted a thread a few months ago asking for advice on a light meter and concluded from the answers that it was the best. I have enjoyed using it and get a sense of community from comparing readings with others here at CPF.

The one in the original post is almost certainly the same manufacture as the cheap ones at Sears. I just got one from sears, it's the $30 one they have on their website, search for multimeter. It is almost fully autoranging, no lux or RH, but it does have a K type jack and does capacitance and frequency. Not super accurate, but it was $20 on sale. Someday I will tweak the trim pots inside. I would never pay $50 for a cheap one like that on ebay. Sears guarantees their stuff, ebay is a money pit. If you want a light meter, buy a dedicated one from a camera shop. I prefer seperates anyway, so I can measure, say, light output and current at once.
