Inexpensive dynamo light system

I just put this system together today. Eventually, I might mount the taillight on the rear fender, when I get a hold of my drill.

Dynamo: $14 used on ebay
Headlight: Dosun U1, $75 new on ebay
Taillight: Spanninga Pixia, $20 new on ebay

Total cost: $109

No other parts were needed. The dynamo is an antique and extremely well made. It came with the matching antique taillight, which I'm not using.

Works great. I took it out after dark tonight and rode a couple of miles.

Both lights have a "standlight" feature. There is a capacitor in each light which saves some energy. The lights burn for several minutes after the dynamo stops.

always good to see another bike fitted with lights and ready to be used at all hours of the day, especially a vintage Raleigh Super Course (or is it a mislabeled International? I don't recall the Super Course having Nervex lugs).

Also good to see an old bottle dynamo being useful too, although the drag is significant. Maybe there's less drag when driving the more efficient LED lights??

How is the Dosun headlight? I've seen a mix of reviews.

That dynamo reminded me of when I was a teenager cycling my bicycle.
