I had my T5 out in the rain last week during an early morning 3 mile walk. Late in the walk I noticed the T5 began to flicker. I turned it off and when I got back to work I took out the batteries. My thinking was the mid-mounted switch had allowed water to creep in. I eventually put the batteries back in and the light had the same problems; flickering, not turning on at times or very dim. I put it back in the holster and forgot about it for a few days.

A few days ago I switched it on and it appears fine again. Could water have entered through the switch? Are the described problems possibly water related? Do I need to send my T5 in for service? Thanks for any info.

The T5 (and T4) is not water resistant. The switch is sealed 'a bit' but not really tight, like an o-ring would do.

If i'd need this light to be reliable, i would send it in.
