but here it is:

after i installed my MM+, it can only works with kroll switch cause the mini mag head turn switch won't work? i can't turn it off with the head switch, it will stay on all the times.

any thoughts?

You suppose to use the kroll switch to turn on/off the MiniMag after you modded it with a sandwich. Before you installed the sandwich, do you know how a MiniMag work? You ever wonder why when you remove the head, the light is on, when you screwed down the head all the way, the light is off. I'm not good with technical term but will try to answer you. The original MiniMag is using contact switch while the MadMax sandwich is not a contact switch so if you use the original tailcap, the light is constantly on.

I bought a new maglight body for my MM sandwich and found that it was also a little hard to turn off by twisting the head. I had to tighten down firmly to turn off. Of course I usually just use the Kroll switch for on/off but all my other lights that have sandwiches will quite easily turn off with the head. The Kroll does not interfere in the on position. If you turn off with the Kroll you just can't turn on with the head. If your light were to stay on while clicking the Kroll switch, that is another problem altogether. You sometimes have to spin one of the internal springs a little I think.

Really? All of my BB and MM sandwiches work with the Kroll or the stock MiniMag tailcap. On one or two of them the Kroll started to flake out so I temporarily put the original tailcap back on and have been using it like that for several months with no problems. Are you tightening the head down tight enough to turn it off?

The head and optics require the additional o-ring to space down the optics the proper distance. If you did not install the o-ring it might not turn off.

The original lens and o-ring should stay in place. Then the new o-ring and then the optics. It's also possible that the o-ring has been squished down and is around the optics instead of sitting on the face of the optics.

If done correctly the head should press the optics down on the Sandwich and turn it off.
