Would anyone be interested in buying a small circuit that use a common momentary micro-switch and draws 5 millionths of an amp idle and operates on 3volts able to switch at least a couple of amps?

I'm interested - what's the "on" state resistance, and could you give approx. dimensions?

A bi-stable flipflop? Hmm. 5 pico-amps? Able to handle high current?

Would it be able to have double throw? So say you got full power, enable it, it breaks a connection, and makes a new one with resitance for dimming the lux?

Does it require pos and neg connections?

One of these with a reed switch in a mag where the switch cam was would be great dimming feature. Turn it on, and move a magnet by it once, it goes into dim mode. Move the magnet by again, it's full bright!

Or build a waterproof magnet activated light....

Only problem is, I can't find reed switches anywhere.. Unles probably bulk order /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

Another good switch would be a small TACT switch that is found behind buttons on stereos and VCR's... I have a bunch of these from an old 80's VCR I took apart. it had a TON of adjustable buttons with TACT switches.. They are like 5mm diameter squares... They have some what of a click to them too.. You could build a small light with one of these and have the switch by the head and not take up much room at all.
 
Digikey.com sells reed switches, and you can buy 'em one at a time if you want. The shipping charges will eat you up though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
 
Just toggle on and off for now, maybe four levels of brightness and on off in the future. I also offer the Dimmalux 3000 (patent pending) luxeon circuit dimmer able to dim a 1-watt luxeon.

I meant use this in conjuction with the stock mag switch. The flip flop would toggle resistance via waving a magnet over the mag light...
 
That could be done. So many things to do and so little time, well back to the grind-literally!

Great... I never knew, that you too were onlook for such a circuit... and ultimately built one.... and making it available for sale .... can you please PM me the cost....

For me, i want to use it for a very very small current applicaiton.... 2-3 LED's overdriven using 2 CR2032 cells in series.

I am currently looking for a bi-stable (toggle) flip flop circuit probably using a CMOS Chip .. & FET .... I also do have choices of using a SCR ... etc.. but those will involve use of 2 switches... and that is EXPENSIVE... in terms of space....

BUT, if you are selling it, and if it is cost efficient... i wouldnt bother to design it again... I would rather just buy it from you /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Also, For the 2 boost transistor circuit... its truely amazing.. it really impressed me.... I think Dimmalux 3000 (patent pending).. is also a similar circuit (may be a regulated one... & using some SMD Components instead of transistors) ....

I modified the value of inductor to 22 uH to drive 3 LED's in parallel from a 1.5 V AA Source. .... and they are atleast 2 times bright as a photon freedom. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There's a surplus electronics store not too far from me with a handful of reed switch models in stock. They're not terribly compact, but could probably be accomodated in a D maglight easily.

Thanks for the response....

I am on a look for a very verrry small switch.. that can be accomodated in lets say 3 sq mm or up to 6 sq mm (the electronics) .... and then ofcourse there is a NO switch to activate the electronics...

small cmos chips.... + probably a FET (lo voltage) ... some thing like that....
